RSS is an easy way to keep updated on the news that's of interest to you. Instead of having to go to websites to see if there's a new story or feature, you can use RSS (Really Simple Syndication) to tell you every time the news you want is updated.
So if you are interested in Chelsea news simply set up a Vital Chelsea RSS feed, or if you are keen on all things League 2 then set up a Vital Coca-Cola League 2 feed and let the news come to you each time something new is being said.
RSS feeds take the hassle out of staying up-to-date, by showing you the very latest information that you are interested in.
OK, that sounds good. How can I use it?
To use RSS, you need to get hold of an application called a news reader.
There are many, from freeware to shareware, to choose from.
These readers display RSS information feeds from your chosen websites on your computer. All you have to do to get set up is choose which RSS feeds you want, i.e. an RSS feed of all the latest Vital Derby County stories from Vital Derby County.
Or just use a browser such as Firefox or Opera or Safari. Internet Explorer users you will have to wait until IE 7 appears. Why not 'trade up' to something more modern?
Try here for Opera (this is the browser recomended by the IT boffins at Vital)
And here for Firefox (also well though of by the IT boffins at Vital)
Well I am all ready to go so where are these Vital Football feeds?
All newsfeeds on the Vital Football network are identified by this little orange button.
You can find them on the top level Vital Football page if you wish to be notified of all Vital news stories or on individual league pages if you only want to know about a particular division.
Alternatively each vital team page has an RSS feed if you are interested in that particular club.
You can however mix and match, setting up as many feeds as you want e.g. Arsenal, Scottish Premier League and Lincoln City.
