E17Yid, I don't get "man crushes" but I do appreciate when I see a player making a decent contribution. Your call that he was "tripe" because he missed a couple of opportunities means that Dele was also "tripe" as he also missed a sitter. I also saw Kane miss one and Kane also completely "whiffed" on a very good opportunity. In case you didn't notice Sissoko was making chances and getting into positions to have chances, more than any other Spurs player today. Without a doubt it was his best game for us. You are just not allowing yourself to give the guy an opportunity to show you what he can bring to the team because you wrote Him off las season.

You may not have noticed that he was playing in a rotation with Eriksen in the Dembele position. While one was attacking the other was in the DM position and they would rotate as the play developed. Koeman called it a diamond formation but it had a lot of movement which totally dominated the Everton midfield and defense. He was an integral part of that formation. Dier doing 90% of the holding allowed the four of Kane, Alli, Eriksen and Sissoko to attack and create.

It would be good if you could put aside your bias based on last season's poor performance and give the player some credit when he actually does well. That way he may be encouraged to really play as he can rather than feel unwanted by fans with your attitude and just become a wasted investment. Thank God for the away fans who were at the game and sang his name in appreciation for his play and contribution.
